Holly Bechard, EdD, MSN, PMHNP-BC
Holly is a board certified family psychiatric and mental health nurse practitioner who believes in every individual’s power to heal and excel in their own lives. She earned her Doctorate in Education from Lipscomb University in 2015, her Master’s of Science in Psychiatric Nursing from Vanderbilt University in 2007 and her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Lipscomb in 2004.
Practicing in her field for more than 14 years, she has been fortunate to teach full time in the College of Nursing at Vanderbilt and in the College of Health Sciences at Lipscomb University for four years, where she was heavily involved in the development of the new nursing education curriculum. She has practiced in community mental health clinics, drug and alcohol outpatient clinics, private practice, crisis stabilization units and in inpatient settings. She has mentored psychiatric nurse practitioner students, providing hands on learning in clinical settings for students attending Vanderbilt University, University of Alabama, Frontier Nursing University and University of San Diego.
She is passionate about educating her patients, students, and community about mental health and wellness and delights in partnering with others to bring about real change in the lives of those she serves.
