Take The Time To Appreciate The Little Things

To get to where we want to go, we first need to appreciate where we came from. Thank you for the basics – the air we breath, the water we drink, the home in which we live. Thank you for our health, our family and friends, and the opportunities we are given every day. Gratitude gives us hope and keeps us grounded. It reminds us where we came from and puts life into perspective. As we work to achieve our goals, gratitude keeps us grounded and true to who we are.

One of the best ways to incorporate gratitude into our daily lives is to keep a “gratitude journal.” This can be as simple as writing down three things you are thankful for each morning and three things you are thankful for each evening. There are great little journals out there to help you record your gratitude but honestly, you can write them on the back of a piece of mail, record them in your phone or even just speak them out loud if you don’t have anything to write with or on at the moment.
